This car was inspected thoroughly for any signs of collision,undercarriage or rust damage plus suspension transaxle floorpan and battery pan and found to be clean and original with certainly less than normal wear and tear for even a 36K mile automobile., , With new Original Irish Green Paint color and correct Porsche style interior replacement carpeting and seats and trim inside. Restorer's notes are available with a concise description of the vehicle before restoration and subsequent disassembly and restoration work. The previous owner and restorer ( with over 45 years of Porsche background in Maintenance and repair has worked on Porsche cars and has a intimate working knowledge of them since their earliest year models., , This engine which is original to this car was stored for a long time and has since been completely Rebuilt from Bottom to Top., The Rebuild included New Rods,main bearings,valves,valve guides,seals,cains,etc. The original forged rockers,cams,pistons and cylinders are in use with new rings. The engine loom was in very good shape with all original wrappings and ends. The motor has 200 miles since the Rebuild., , The Paint and Body needed to be redone after the years in storage. A few small dings ( from storage boxes) were removed from the roof and sides by professional PDA specialists. This car has no body filler,corrosion or metal oxidation. Fenders have never been removed as per restorer's notes. The Undercarriage has 98% of the original factory undercoating which has been thoroughly cleaned and a coating of Wurth undercoating has been applied. , Everything in the Interior has been removed cleaned and the Leatherette Professionall replaced with the exception of the rear seat bottoms which are in excellent original condition. The shifter was removed and all shift bushings, replaced and greased., The Transaxle was also disassembled and inspected. The synchros and bearings were found to be in completely good and serviceable original condition. The Front and rear suspension were serviced completely, all calipers rebuilt, lower ball joints (old type) replaced and all bearings cleaned,serviced and reassembled. , The Restorer had a comment regarding the excellent condition of the Torsion Bar Caps which were still black painted inside and original instead of rusty or corroded as on most of these type cars. He said most Porsche Techs rarely see decent surfaces under those caps., The restorer points out that a lot of the chrome trims are in Beautiful Original condition but some of the window trim and rear window framing have pitting in the chrome finish due to the age of the automobile and normal weathering of the surfaces. The glass, lenses,dash,guages and badging are in Original or better condition. The front Bumper Guards were deleted at the preference of the former owner to achieve a cleaner look. The left front fender has a barely descernable waviness at the center of the wheel well arch., The door jambs have been touched up to bring the look back to original. Altogether this is an excellent example of the Short Wheel Base 911 Coupe and certainly one of the Best we have seen in the last 20 years involved in Porsche Classic repai
