This incredible 442 Retains its original numbers matching drive train and is privately owned. It has only 100 miles on it since the restoration. Below is a complete description of this car that you do not want to miss., , BODY:, The body of this 442 retains all of it’s original rust free sheet metal including floors and trunk pan. It was stripped to bare metal and any dings or imperfections were repaired. It was blocked and primered several times to assure the body was arrow straight and ready for the black 2 stage paint that was applied with red hood stripes and red W30 stripes. Once painted it was wet sanded and buffed to a brilliant deep finish that will compete at any show. The front and rear bumpers were sent out and re-plated while all of the stainless steel trim was removed and professionally polished. All of the glass is in very good condition with the windshield being new. The grill and headlight assemblies are all new. The Super Stock l wheels are completely restored with BFGoodrich T/A radials. You can see this olds is carrying W30 badges as well as an original W25 O.A.I. Hood. Interested buyers should contact us for further explanation of this. Over all the exterior of this 442 is Spectacular., , INTERIOR:, The black interior of this 442 is just as nice as the exterior. The only items replaced in this interior were the carpet, front door panels, rear package tray and headliner. The rest is original and in excellent condition. All new sound deadening material was installed on the entire floor surface. This 442 is equipped with power steering, center console, manual disc brakes and rally steering wheel. The trunk is as nice as the interior with a new trunk mat, super stock l spare, correct jack, correct hold down and correct trunk light., , DRIVE TRAIN: , Under the hood of this beautiful 442 is a stunning engine compartment that is home to the freshly rebuilt and original 455 cubic inch engine. The attention to detail in this engine compartment is over the top. You can see the red after market inner wheel wells are in place. This 455 engine does have the original matching # vin as well as the correct Julian Date. It has the W30 aluminum intake manifold with a 4 bbl Quadra jet carburetor. The transmission is the Original and date code matching Muncie M21 4 speed. A new clutch assembly was installed at the time of this restoration. The rear is the correct SH code 12 bolt unit spinning a 3:42 gear. This complete drive train operates excellent with plenty of horse power., , CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION:, The complete front suspension is new with powder coated upper and lower a-frames, new bushings, ball joints, tie rods, center link, idler arm, sway bar bushings and links, shocks and springs. The rear suspension is also all new with new control arm bushings, springs, shocks and rear sway bar bushings. All new brakes have been installed along with the new gas tank and exhaust.
