In 1984, Nissan became the new official name for Datsun. The name change was a result of Datsun produced Japanese fighter planes in WWII that were thought to be detrimental to their image in the ever expanding American Market. In 1986, the 300ZX (Z31) body was updated to rev up the look of the vehicle. Adding side skirts, replacing the fiberglass spoiler with a durable plastic one, the 300ZX was given a much sleeker look when the hood scoop was removed. A third brake-light was also added to the interior of the unit for safety. This particular car is a very clean, 3 owner, 53,000 original mile '86 300ZX turbo that has a host of add on's. The car has not been overly modified by any means. Everything that was done to the car was tastefully done, not overdone. The car was recently gone through at a Nissan dealership to ensure the car needed nothing. The car has had nearly $3,000 spent on it in the last 3 months. Receipts we have in hand include charging the A/C, new plugs, wires, struts, shocks, springs, sensors, hoses, wiper blades, seals and fuel pump. The set of Konig Wheels and tires on the car have less then 500 miles on them. The exterior of the car was repainted about 5 years ago and looks great with nearly no imperfections to be found. The car has had no accidents and the repaint was a high quality job. Both front and rear bumpers are in great condition with no damage to either. All of the glass is in great condition with no chips or cracks. The glass T-Tops show no signs of leaking and the rubber all around is in good condition. The brand new black Konig wheels with chrome lip are a great add on that really set the car off. The wheels and tires have less then 500 miles on them. Inside, the interior is nearly perfect. The seats show no major wear, nor does the carpet, headliner or door panels. The seats have power lumbar and bolster support which works with no problems. All gauges, lights, blinkers, wipers and horn work as they should. The A/C was just serviced and does blow ice cold. There has been aftermarket Auto Meter Boost and Air/Fuel mixture gauges installed that both work with no problems as well as a Greddy boost controller. The car retains its original AM/FM stereo that works with no problems. Under the hood, the turbo 6 cylinder runs great. This car is an absolute rocket. When the turbo gets spooled, hang on! The 5 speed manual gearbox is a great option for the car and makes it a blast to drive. The clutch is strong and the car goes through the gears with no problems. We have receipts that are a few months old and show over $3000.00 was spent. Included in the work was the A/C being charged, new plugs, wires, struts, shocks, springs, sensors, some hoses, wiper blades, seals and fuel pump. The previous owner told us that the greedy turbo timer and exhaust were added to help the vehicle to run cooler and promote a longer safer life for the engine and turbo. He also said that this has only and always been driven by an adult, not a teenager. Internal mechanics are all original and all numbers match. The miles currently show 53,075 which is original for the car. VIN number is JN1CZ14S8GX109458 and the car is being sold on a clean Illinois title.
