THE STEERING IS TIGHT AND PRECISE AND THE BRAKES FEEL JUST GREAT. ALL OF THE ELECTRICALS ARE OPERATING PROPERLY AS WELL. THE INTERIOR IS VERY NICE. THE BLACK LEATHER SEATS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME TYPICAL WEAR TO THE FRONT SEATS. THE DASHBOARD IS REALLY NICE AND EVEN THE CARPETS DON'T LOOK OR FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN STEPPED ON THANKS TO THE MERCEDES-BENZ FLOOR MATS THAT HAVE BEEN PROTECTING THEM. THE EXTERIOR IS WHAT REALLY SETS THIS PARTICULAR 1981 MERCEDES-BENZ APART FROM THE REST. THE BLACK PAINT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION (SEE PICTURES) WITH NO MAJOR SCRATCHES OR DENTS ANYWHERE AT ALL. THE PAINT IS STILL BRIGHT AND SHINY JUST LIKE IT WAS IN 1981 WHEN THIS 300SD WAS ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR AT THE MERCEDES-BENZ DEALERSHIP. ADD THE ORIGINAL WHEELS MOUNTED ON GOOD TIRES AND THIS CAR REALLY DOES STAND OUT FROM THE REST. THE 1981 MERCEDES-BENZ 300SD TURBO DIESEL REALLY WAS THE ULTIMATE GERMAN LUXURY CAR OF IT'S DAY. THERE ARE SOME DOOR DINGS THAT ARE TO BE EXPECTED ON ANY USED CAR (SEE PICTURES), ONE WINDOW IS INOPERABLE AND THE SUNROOF OPERATES WITH AID, THE PASSENGER SEAT SHOWS WEAR (SEE PICTURE), AND A BIT OF WOOD IS CHIPPING AND THE SUNROOF CLIPS FROM A SUN VISOR ARE STILL MOUNTED.
