The car has averaged right under 1800 miles per year, not bad considering most drivers put 8000-10,000 miles per year on a "weekend" vehicle. , , Mechanically the car runs great and drives. It starts right up and idles smooth when in neutral. Accelerates without any hesitation and the engine does not make any abnormal noises during acceleration or at idle ( no ticking or knocking ). The transmission shifts smooth through all the gears with no issues and the clutch feels good with no unusual pedal travel. The streering is nice and tight with no abnormal play, and the suspension makes no abnormal noises when going over bumps on the road. At highway speeds ( 65-70 mph ) the car drives straight and doesnt pull to the left or right, and there are no vibrations in the steering wheel. It's just a very well kept Miata and I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a 1000 mile round trip., , The car was very well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows. The over all condition of the paint is in great shape considering its a 17 year old vehicle. It has some minor scuffs and rock chips on the hood, nothing out of the ordinary for a 17 year old car. I personally think the car looks better than most 3 to 5 year old vehicles. The convertible top looks great and has no rips or tears, it also has a tonneau cover for the convertible top. Interior is very clean with no odors (non smoker), there is minor wear on the driver seat from getting in and out, passenger seat looks nearly new. Carfax report is available showing the 1 owner accident free history., , Within the last 10 miles i had the car fully inspected and serviced. The engine and transmission do not have any mechanical issues or oil leaks. The oil sticker had 1000 miles left until the next oil change but I had him replaced the oil & filter anyway, tires are nearly new and all other maintenance was up to date. The car also comes with a nationwide warranty at no cost. You are welcome to call the mechanic that did the inspection.
