Up for sale is my 1999, 2 door convertible Jaguar. I am the second owner. The car always generates comments about looking like a new car. Most people are not really aware of the body style change in 2007. Rides like a dream, the sport tuned transmission is intense, you take it for granted and really notice when you drive something else. 19 mpg around town and 24 mpg highway. Drive an $80,000 at a fraction of the price. No tire kickers. I will talk about the price a bit, but no low ballers. 100 percent clear title., , High mileage is a reality reflected in the price, but it has been taken care of impeccably. 400 hp 4.0 liter V8 does 0-60 in 6 seconds, always has more and more power, engine runs very strong. I bought the car with 70,000 miles in mid-2007 and have had done the following work done. Rebuilt the entire front end of the engine at 100,000 miles ($4,000) meaning rails, chain tensioners, timing chain, water pump, etc. Any XK8 with over 100,000 mikes has to have this done. Within the last 40,000 miles new starter ($500), new throttle body ($4,000), new power roof hydraulic lines ($600), rebuilt ABS computer ($800) and new valve cover gaskets and seals all around ($700), New front rotors and rebuilt (right side) caliper ($900), oil changes every 3,000 miles. New battery last year. Had the front of the car stripped and repainted ($3,000), no accidents. Because of the long sloped nose design the paint just takes a beating. All work done by certified Jaguar Mechanic. , , Optional after market equipment: Remote Start (rare for this car). I had the factory wheels powdercoated black ($400) which has made a huge difference in the way the car looks as you will see in the pictures. The difference in the amount of heads that turn is amazing. , , Standard equipment includes heated seats, power mirrors, rear window defrost, traction control, trip computer, cruise control, power windows, power seats with memory, 3 home link buttons (program to garage door openers), trunk mounted 6 disc CD changer, climate control AC, windshield and headlight washers, full size spare, remote power trunk and gas cap release. Digital stereo with premium sound, 5 speed automatic transmission, with a recent oil change and about 5,000 miles on the tires. , , The car is not impeccable as reflected in the price, but has a great appearance and is a great find for the value.
