The car was completely sanded down to bare metal. The interior of the doors, posts, trunk, and engine compartment were included. Two coats of color were applied followed by four coats of “clear coat.” Of course, polishing followed after each coat. Receipts for the $5,000.00+ paint job are available., , In 2002 a completely rebuilt Jaguar XJ6 engine was installed by a Jaguar dealer at a cost of $7,000.00 +. Receipts for this work are also available. As of this writing there are only 39,613 miles on the new engine—it is hardly broken in. The looks of the car verify the low use., , The new upholstery was installed between 1999 and 2005. The headliner has not been replaced because there are no rips or tears and it appears to be in excellent condition. The Moon Roof liner is a deeper shade of ecru than the interior headliner. It came that way so it didn’t bother me. The welting at the top of the rear window should be replaced—it shows wear from sun damage., , This car is 90% completely restored to new, or better, condition.
