1925 Hudson Super-Six Brougham Sedan Loaded with Accesories! 76 bhp, 288.6 cu. in. side-valve six-cylinder engine, three-speed manual gearbox, solid front axle and live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and two-wheel mechanical brakes. Wheelbase: 127.375 New to the Hudson Super Six catalogue in May 1925 was the Brougham, a close-coupled four-door saloon with seating for five. The bodies were supplied by Biddle and Smart of Amesbury, Massachusetts, who had a close relationship with Hudson while also providing some bodies for the American-built Rolls-Royce, built at nearby Springfield. Built in the time-honoured fashion, Biddle and Smart bodies were constructed on ash frames and clothed with aluminium. The first Broughams came in a single colour scheme of blue body with black wings and splash aprons; later other hues were added to the palette. The style remained in production through 1927. The Hudson offered here is a older restoration of a good solid car. The paint has some issues as seen in the photos but can be used as is or redone at a later date. The upholstery shows nice and is in good condition. The car starts, runs and drives in a good manor. We have not had it out for any long distances. The car is loaded with accessories including three spare tires, landau irons, motometer, trunk, dual sidemount mirrors, drivers side wind wing, tubular bumpers and a dash mounted clock. This would be a excellent car to use as is and update as you go along. You have a strong solid bassis needing cosmetics. A true custom bodied classic automobile!
