This beautifully restored 1961 Ford Galaxie two door post has undergone a complete restoration that was performed on a rust free southern automobile. Powered by a 390 c.i. "big block" Ford V8 that has been street performance enhanced with an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold and four barrel carburetor. It has a complete dual exhaust system that exits out the rear in the factory original designed locations. The engine is mated to a three speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. It has power steering, power brakes, full instrumentation including a tachometer, the factory original AM radio, dual outside rear view mirrors, original owners manual and four nearly new Challenger Regal Sport all season tires mounted on extremely nice Magnum 500 chromed steel wheels. This stunning Ford Galaxie two door post is absolutely done to perfection. The enclosed pictures simply do not show the true beauty of the beautiful Light Blue Metallic paint or the perfectly smooth ripple free body. There has been no replacement of any body panels or floors. The undercarriage has been restored and refinished to show condition. In the trunk, a new mat has been placed on a refinished rust free floor. The interior, WOW the interior, it is one of the cleanest, most tastefully done and accurately restored one we have ever seen in our many years here at Holt Auto Sales. Anything that showed any wear was replaced and this includes all the door and trunk seals, wind lacing and trim pieces. It is definitely of prize winning show quality. Under the hood has been completely cleaned, painted, and fully detailed again to show quality. Several under the hood components have been chrome plated to further enhance the engine compartment. All exterior chrome components and aluminum trim pieces have either been replaced or restored to new condition.
