For sale a 1980 Fiat Spider 2.0 Pininfarina. This vehicle is in exceptional condition. It is my personal car (and has been for the last 8 yrs or so) and I absolutely love it. I don't drive it too much lately because we have kids and this car is just not too practical with small kids. It used to be a "week end only" vehicle even before the children... I don't think I ever drove it in rain. To the best of my knowledge, this is the accurate mileage on the car, the previous owner stated he would drive the car on the sunny week ends only. This has been a Texas vehicle all its life and there is NO RUST on it. This car is not a restoration, it's all original and perfectly preserved. This vehicle has the wheels that equipped the latest Spiders (1985) and also the mirrors are updated to the post 1982 models. It has not been in any accidents, it has a clear TX original title. Mechanically and cosmetically in excellent condition. The engine has the electronic injection and electronic ignition. I have made 2 modifications to it, one I added a relay for the starter and the second I added a heater valve under the hood, instead of the one under the dash. The car has electric windows, that roll up slooooow :) Typical problem with old cars with tiny wires for the motors. This car has AC and it blows cold air. I never recharged it (so no leaks) and pretty much never used, because I only drive the car with the top down. The top is in great condition, with a small rub spot on the driver's side. All 4 tires are Michelin, good (not great) condition, probably 50% left. Engine is smooth, plenty of power, no noises, no leaks. Transmission shifts perfect, no grinds in any gears. The only "problem area" to me from a cosmetically point of view: the center console. It's been recovered and fit/finish is not really 100%. The previous owner installed an alarm system, and also a CD player with a detachable card (an anti-theft device). The CD/radio sometimes stops working but I didn't have time to look into it or replace it. There is an external amplifier in the trunk, as well. Very good sound (speakers are updated, too). I installed a new battery at the end of 2011. All in all, a very low mileage Fiat, in near pristine condition.
