Dreams of owning that Street Rod/Muscle Car can come true with this Chevelle. Big Block power in the classic 1972 Malibu body. This Malibu is a fantastic looker, turning heads and getting thumbs up everywhere. It is freshly painted in a deep metallic green and the paint is of decent quality. The body appears very straight and there are no obvious signs of body repair or rust/damage repairs. All of the panel gaps and part alignments seem to be nearly at factory specification. The chrome trim and bumpers all shine brightly and are in good condition. There is some very minor evidence of age present upon close inspection but from ten feet away, it looks flawless. The glass and lighting lenses all are in good original shape with no major cracks, chips, or flaws. The lenses do have some signs of age as they are not as brilliant in color as they once were new. In addition to the aftermarket paint color, the Malibu rolls along smoothly on staggered Foose rims. The front 17 inch rims are wrapped in 245/40ZR17 Rikens and the rear 18 inch rims are wrapped in 275/35ZR18 Rikens. The tires are nearly new with very good tread and no signs of age or cracking. The right rear tire does have a cut in the side wall from what appears to have been done by the inner fender trim. This combination of aftermarket wheels and paint is subtle yet pleasant to look at. The entire body, floors, trunk, and engine compartment appear very solid. No weak areas or signs of rust are present in any of the areas we looked. In addition to a very nice exterior, the engine compartment is decked out and pleasing to fans of power. The engine is dressed in large amounts of chrome and accessories. The air cleaner and valve covers are part of the Edelbrock Signature Series and give the typical Muscle Car look to the engine bay. Helping build power are the Edelbrock 1407 2976 Carburetor and the Edelbrock Performer 2.0 intake. In addition to the fuel and intake system, the ignition system has received an upgrade to MSD. The MSD 6AL box, Blaster 2 coil, and MSD aluminum distributor are being used along with 8.5 MM MSD wires. Exhaust is handled by headers that appear to be ceramic coated. Further down the line the dual exhaust receives its tone from a set of Flowmaster Mufflers. Adding to the appearance and functionality of the engine and engine compartment is the Northern 4 row aluminum radiator and flex a lite dual electric fan set up. Other accessories worth mentioning are the chromed alternator, power steering pump, master cylinder and power booster, timing cover, oil pan, transmission inspection cover, and accessory pulleys and brackets. A gel cell Optima red top battery provides power to the Malibu and starting is managed by a high torque Hitachi racing style starter. The engines origin is unknown as it is not the numbers matching option for this car. The casting numbers on the engine are as follows; 3902406 on the left rear in front of the transmission bell housing and *** TO916IV 7C118585 (*these numbers are difficult to read so they may not be perfectly accurate) on the engine deck just in front of the passenger's side cylinder head. The transmission in this car is a rebuilt TH350 possibly containing either a 2,400 R.P.M stall torque converter or a 3,000 R.P.M. stall converter. It has an additional oil cooler mounted to the front of the radiator as well. There are receipts for both dating a few years back. The rear
